Description Dan Wolff 2013-08-05 19:34:19 UTC
Wikis use lots of shortcuts on the talk pages, and it can be quite frustrating for the uninitiated to figure out what WP:MOS, WP:N etc. mean, especially when several are used at once.

Having to click on the link to see that its about the 'Manual of Style' or 'Notability' would be unnecessary, if the same information was available in the tooltip when hovering the link.

In which exact situation should the tooltip be shown?
Is this about reading? Editing?
Comment 2 Dan Wolff 2013-08-06 12:23:23 UTC
I was thinking when reading.

Now that you mention it, it would probably be useful for VisualEditor as well, but I think that can be its own bug.
