In the interest of minimizing the text difference between revisions, it would be nice to detect when an entire link is being annotated and just put the annotation outside of the link instead of inside it. i.e. I'd expect to see ''[[Price Waterhouse v. Hopkins]]'' instead of [[Price Waterhouse v. Hopkins|''Price Waterhouse v. Hopkins'']]

Just a nice-to-have, though. Not critical.

This is part of the work of bug 50098 which will add a full ordering concept to how annotations are applied, with this simplification step as a key criterion.
