Description Marc A. Pelletier 2013-08-21 16:46:10 UTC
Ubuntu, by default, uses a recordfail function in its grub configuration so that if a bootstrap fails or is interrupted, the next boot will pause at the grub menu rather than timeout and proceed without intervention.

Given that it is not practical to require pressing return on a virtual console (and that non-ops cannot do it at all) we should disable that functionality on images installed in the labs.

as seen in bug 52917
Comment 2 Marc A. Pelletier 2014-08-27 18:03:17 UTC
The new images do not share that behaviour (both the newly-baked Precise and Trusty).
