Description WhatamIdoing 2013-08-22 02:24:47 UTC
This was mentioned in the comments at Bug 50945. See https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Isotopes_of_thorium&curid=2526861&diff=569562416&oldid=569407993 for the latest example of the problem. " a[[Age of the universe|ge of the universe]]" is not a desirable wikilink.

It might be related to capitalization of the first letter in the link.
Comment 1 Chris McKenna 2013-08-22 15:43:51 UTC
This is reproducable, e.g. at https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User%3AThryduulf%2Fsandbox&diff=569738052&oldid=569735886

1. With no text selected, click the icon (or press ctrl+k) to insert a link
2. Insert any link starting with a capital letter.
3. Change the first letter of the link to lowercase. It doesn't matter if you delete and retype or select and overtype.

This is clearly related to bug 50945 but whether it is the same or not I don't know.
Comment 2 James Forrester 2013-08-23 17:34:50 UTC
Merging this with bug 53210 - it's an artefact of users deleting the first character of a link and replacing it with an unlinked character.
