When opening the app (if you've already logged in), you see a gallery of your recent uploads and an add images button at the bottom, and an "Upload" button in the top right. The Upload button is gray-ed out and can't be used for anything, which seems unintuitive. I would expect that button to do basically the same thing as the add images button.

Yes -- this button sucks, and we're going to remove it.

As the Mobile Apps Team is focussing on the new, native Wikipedia app, the Commons app is no longer being maintained by the Wikimedia Foundation. I am WONTFIXing all open Commons app bugs to reflect that we will not be spending time fixing them.
