I fixed this a while ago I think. If there is another problem I love to hear about it.

Sorry but it still doesn't work for me: I tried to edit https://fr.wiktionary.org/wiki/Utilisateur:Automatik/common.js and I can't add a special character from the toolbar underneath the area to type the text.

It only works when I disable CodeEditor.

You are correct. this is due to currentfocused mediawiki.action.edit.js

Grah this part is just so complex...
