Requesting creation of Wikimedia-AU-Members and Wikimedia-AU-Announce mailing list. Our current lists are hosted on a third party server and making certain changes is difficult, so this is for simplicity. Please add myself (cro0016@gmail.com) and Craig.franklin@wikimedia.org.au as list admins.
Would you like any configuration of the lists done (in terms of subscription restriction, privacy etc) - or would you be able to do this yourself?
We would like the members list to be a private list, only members of the mailing lists can view/read archives and only list admins can subscribe people to the list (closed subscription) With the announce list, anyone can subscribe, but posting to the list is restricted to a set of people. I think I can manage this myself.
(Just so it's clear, as anyone can subscribe to Announce, the viewing of archives is available to anyone, not just subscribed people)
