Tamil Wikipedia is celebrating its 10th anniversary on 29th September in Chennai[1]. The community consensus page is here[2]. And, most of the members have shown the support. Please change the logo from 25th September 2013 to 31st October 2013. Kindly resolve this bug as soon as possible. We are having a press meet tomorrow (25th Sep) as when press takes screen shots of Wiki pages, it'll be good to be with new logo. I've submitted a patch but I cannot promise anything about the time it will be done. For now you can add the following code to [[ta:MediaWiki:Common.css]] (with line breaks removed, of course): #p-logo a { background-image: url("//upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/ta/thumb/e/e3/Tamil_wiki_10th_anniversary_4.png/175px-Tamil_wiki_10th_anniversary_4.png") !important; } Please be advised, though, that this is a short term solution, and you will make the developers unhappy if you leave it there for too long!
the file doesn't appear to be protected. (although I can't read the language so who knows)

Looks like they "fixed" it through MediaWiki:Common.css; for the future, these kind of requests should be handled by overwriting the logo on Commons, and then reverting it there (by Commons admins since most logos are protected); it's much easier and faster to do.
