seen in beta labs: 

As user Selenium_user, I updated preferences/gadgets to enable the ProveIt gadget. 

Upon saving the new preference, display font is OpenDyslexic. Display font returned to standard after reloading page. 

Navigate through several pages-- display language changes from English to German. There is no 'setlang' in the page URL.  Navigating to new page changes display language back to English

Sounds like there was other tests running on the wiki changing the settings temporarily.

We need to create a user (not Selenium_user) especially for ULS/Language tests.  Those tests also caused the issue at Bug 54671
