It appears to me that there should be a space between "User:" and "Username" on the user's profile page.

How can I see / reproduce this problem? Which version of Internet Explorer do you use? Any chance to attach a screenshot (which does not display any confidential/private data)?

Just imagine text without space between
"User:" and "Michael V Gold".

Ah, I thought this report is about misrendering, so I misunderstood.

The current behavior is intended, as "User:" is one namespace in the MediaWiki software, similar to the "Special:" namespace in https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Special:Version . There are more namespaces like this.
To keep this consistent, I am closing this request as WONTFIX.
