Description Jan Eissfeldt 2013-10-03 22:00:11 UTC
De.WP's ref templates interact unhelpfully with VE/Parsoid, resulting in unwanted insertion of "<ref name=":0">"; examples:

https://de.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Titl%C3%A1&diff=prev&oldid=122939538

template: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vorlage:Internetquelle

https://de.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Die_letzte_Vorstellung&diff=prev&oldid=123020177

template: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vorlage:Der_Spiegel

It also results in having the display of the ref being moved into another ref. This is different from the other issue debated in 53777

I'm not sure I understand what the issue is here? Re-used references are getting a name automatically added (":0") so that they can be re-used…

Or are they not edits that are intentionally re-using a reference?

First case: The "Südtiroler Wochenmagazin" ref eats the newly inserted ref "ServusTV", causing a fix:

https://de.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Titl%C3%A1&diff=123114172&oldid=122939538

Second case: The Der Spiegel ref in the second diff doesn't appear in the ref section at the end of the article but gets eaten up by the Die Zeit ref; causing this edit:

https://de.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Die_letzte_Vorstellung&diff=next&oldid=123020177

Can you provide steps to reproduce?
Comment 4 Roan Kattouw 2014-06-05 21:17:50 UTC
Closing unless and until this is shown to still be a problem.
