Currently are done in source code directly. It's much easier to do translations at http://translatewiki.net/ like is done with mediawiki for example.

We probably have three kinds of translations:
1\. Edit summaries
2\. Edits itself
3\. Messages shown to the user

This request is aimed at the first.

Strong support. I was playing about that stuff implementing it. As Siebrand explained some time ago, we need a separate class holding all these translations. But I am uncertain whether this would exhaustly increase the needed memory for using the scripts.

http://translatewiki.net/wiki/Special:Translate?group=out-pywikipedia-0-all&filter=&action=translate looks ok to me. I'll just close this one.
