Hi please could someone please fix a search bug in this extension because it now doesent let you use the search bar to search for something it doesent show drop down list you have to know what you want it doesent show suggestion please fix it. I am using Mediawiki 1.22 Wmf 20 And I think it also has some issues in Mediawiki 1.22 wmf19 upwards not sure but it doesent work with Mediawiki 1.22
Using wmf deployment branches really isn't recommended for 3rd party users
Ok but It was working before one of Wmf branch was released some where 10 upwars doint know which one from 10 upwards
What does this have to do with ConfirmAccount?
Because if I remove confirm account the search works if I install confirm account it doesent so it seems there a problem with the extension and Mediawiki 1.22
I have this on a test wiki with 1.22 and it works fine.
Well it lets me search just the main page but it won't let me search the pages or users
Please describe the bug and exact steps to reproduce plus browser information, so somebody else could try to follow your steps. And please use punctuation for sentences so comments are more readable. Attaching a screenshot (which does not show any private data) might also be helpful. See https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/How_to_report_a_bug for more information.
Well I go into my website (http://random-wikisaur.tk). I type in the search bar for example user:me which is my admin account on that website and it doesent show anything except from search for this user
As this works on Wikimedia wikis and as Aaron cannot reproduce, this likely is not a problem in the code of MediaWiki (a so-called "bug"), but instead a support request (how to change settings, questions how to do something, etc.). As bugzilla.wikimedia.org is only for specific bug reports and enhancement requests, please use https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Project:Support_desk for support requests. Thanks!
I have and they said to report it on here
Then you should read https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/How_to_report_a_bug again and provide better information, like which browsers you have tested with. But I assume some issues with blindly copying Wikimedia specific configurations, as with previous issues brought up on the Support Desk, where this belongs.
I have tested it with safari on iPad and internet explorer 10 and internet explorer 11. I just downloaded it from git.
