Description MZMcBride 2013-10-14 17:33:40 UTC
When I visit [[testwiki:Special:MWOAuthManageMyGrants/manage/34]], I see:

---
Application name: Hello World [1.0]
Publisher: Anomie
Application description: A simple application to demonstrate the use of OAuth
                           with MediaWiki. https://tools.wmflabs.org/oauth-hello-world/
---

It would be nice if hyperlinks were supported to be able to link "Anomie", "Hello World", and have the full hyperlink ("https://tools.wmflabs...") be clickable.

This bug may need to be split out further, I'm not sure.

The name and app can be handled better and easier after Gerrit change #88251.

I'm less inclined to allow wikitext in the description, but we could probably allow it if we really want it.

Why are you less inclined?

People will likely want to link the publisher name to their user page or personal Web site. People will likely want to link the application name to an on-wiki page or an external site.

In the description field, recognized protocols should be auto-linked (<http://example.com>, etc.).

Sorry to drop off. I'm less inclined because we show the description in a few places, and I don't want someone adding in <div style="height:500px;width=700px;font-size=96pt>OMG MY APP IS SO COOL</div> as their application description.

UX has asked us to add a link to a page about the application, which can be shown in places where we show the description, and pretty much any place we show the title we can wrap it in a link to the app's page. I think this is the spirit of what you're looking for, right?

Doesn't block deployment.
