Description Juan de Vojníkov 2013-10-15 05:57:02 UTC
Maybe I havent understood, but I think it is not necessary to push user to add group to Reference list. Most of the references are used as a references. Other groups may be insert as an option. If you force it, it blocks to add references.

The "group" parameter is necessary if you have multiple reference lists, which is uncommon but is used some times. Re-wording to make clearer.
Comment 2 Juan de Vojníkov 2013-11-03 07:59:20 UTC
Well,

I think this may cause also the following problem:

At this page:
https://cs.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angus_MacLise
There is one reference in group "p", but the VE engine sais here:
https://cs.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angus_MacLise#Pozn.C3.A1mky

there is no group p!
Comment 3 James Forrester 2014-02-20 01:40:57 UTC
In the fix for bug 59180 we made the group have a placeholder (default text) that says "General references" (in English), which should discourage this enough – marking as FIXED, though happy to discuss better ways to improve this if you want to re-open (or create a new bug).
