http://fa.wikipedia.org/w/api.php?action=featuredfeed&feed=featured&feedformat=rss and http://fa.wikipedia.org/w/api.php?action=featuredfeed&feed=dyk&feedformat=rss should be weekly feeds but has daily updates.

(Someone at #mediawiki channel said I must report a bug, also request here: http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension_talk:FeaturedFeeds#Configure_for_weekly_updates.3F_34629)

You are absolutely right (it is one workday here time) but also I didn't think it is that much hard to fix.

Again, this is a misunderstanding but before even going to file a bug, I went for a DIY solution (as a I am always doing https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/q/owner:ebrahim+project:operations-mediawiki-config,n,z) but see here to find out https://github.com/wikimedia/operations-mediawiki-config/blob/master/wmf-config/FeaturedFeedsWMF.php there is nothing more than this
