Currently an echo notification email is: Subject: New notification at Wikitech You have a new notification. -- To control which emails we send you, check your preferences: https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-echo *********** I would expect at least a link to https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:Notifications The notification contents should also be included unless there's a good reason not to.
The contents are included for "core" Echo notifications. Maybe some of the ones the Wikitech wiki uses are not configured / defined properly.
It's a regression, somewhere. The notifications I received on October have no contents. Special:Notifications shows they are of type «Chad deleted instance 'gerrit-test' in project Nova Resource:Gerrit» However, notifications received on July did have the contents: «Ryan Lane deleted instance 'node' in project [[Nova Resource:Webtools]]»
I think all "Nova" stuff belongs to the OpenStackManager extension. Echo just provides a framework for the notifications.
This is due to an update in echo that OpenStackManager needs to make changes for. There's a fix in, but it needs qqq and to be tested: https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/91906/
