Description Nemo 2013-10-28 08:27:26 UTC
Easiest way to reproduce:
1) Open https://etherpad.wikimedia.org/ , click "New pad"
2) Type anything
3) Open the URL in another browser
I. Expected: I see the content I just typed.
II. Observed: the pad is empty.

Other ways to notice: the timeslider shows 0 revisions; if you keep editing, at some point you get this error, after which you must click "Force reconnect" and you notice nothing was saved:
----
Disconnected.
The server is not responding.

This could be due to problems with network connectivity.
----

Tested with Firefox 24.0 and Chromium 27.0.1453.93 Built from source for Fedora release 18 (Spherical Cow) (200836).

Cannot reproduce with Firefox 24.0 and Opera 12.15 on Fedora 19 - Opera displays the file and the line of text that I entered in Firefox a few seconds earlier correctly.
Comment 2 Nemo 2013-10-28 15:26:50 UTC
Yes, Ariel fixed it this morning: 09.42 < apergos> !log restarted etherpadlite on zirconium, see ticket 6093, it was not saving edits

I guess I'll reopen if needed.
