Sometimes, when you click on a thumbnail to see its large image, that tiny thumbnail appears in the light box instead of the image, as shown in the attached screenshot.

The thumbnail should never appear in the light box, only the large image.

I would actually strongly recommend using the already-loaded thumbnail to seed the lightbox, but make sure that:

1) it's always resized to the target dimensions!
2) it's always replaced with an image of the native target dimensions...
3) there's a spinner shown on top between 1) and 2)

We don't have this issue anymore, but showing smaller image(s) would be a separate bug that I'd love to explore - or using png interlacing as quiddity suggested in bug 56441.
