The Parsoid logo at https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/File:Parsoid_logo.svg is a nice pun on the MediaWiki sunflower logo, but suffers from the same problems for print etc. Lets challenge our creative talent to create a decent logo for Parsoid!
Important consideration: Needs to look good on T-shirts.

I like the idea. The black dot in the center seems to visually obstrusive to me, though. My suggestion is either to do something clever to the black dot to make it as significant as its visual weight warrants (ie, the black dot is instead a circular "JS"), or else to de-emphasize it. Incidentally, sunflowers have a nice fibonacci spiral in the center (see http://jwilson.coe.uga.edu/emat6680/parveen/fib_nature.htm). Perhaps replacing the solid dot with black lines making an appropriate spiral would also help reduce some of the weight.

Maybe change the black in the center to the tan-ish color surrounding it, then make it a bit darker to differentiate? I think the spiral idea would complicate it too much visually.
@chipdong I really like your logo proposal, would it be possible for you to upload it to Wikimedia Commons with licensing information? That way we'd be able to use it. An SVG version would be great too :)
Hi all, Thanks for all the comment and feedback, this is both encouraging and exciting for me! I created the Parsoid logo last year during a Wikipedia hackathon and the mailing list comments fall into my spam folder, so I did not get a chance to look at them until Arlo emailed me personally yesterday. Since it's been a while, I tried to search for the original AI file but it's lost. I will try to trace back the original version and upload the AI file soon. Regarding licensing, I would like to list my work under "Attribution Non-commercial No Derivatives (by-nc-nd)". Please let me know whether this is possible. nc- and nd-licensed filed cannot be used by most wikimedia projects without a fair use reason.
Hi Chip! Thanks again for your time, we really like your logo :) Unfortunately, as Isarra pointed out, we couldn't use it for the Parsoid project if you released it under -NC or -ND.
