On a long Wikipedia talk page, finding recent posts can be difficult as they can appear almost anywhere on a page. Talk page history offers a clue, but you have leave the talk page, and select the edit. Is it not possible to highlight selected posts using the CSS :target selector. Here's how. 1. Add a CSS id to each post 2. Display a summary "infobox" of recent posts on the left, such that each one has a URL with its unique #target-id. 3. Then clicking on, for example, the third-last post, would instantly display it, with appropriate highlighting (similar to the way that citations are shown in footers), using the :target selector. 4. It would also be nice if each post include a "last" and "next" link, so you can more easily move up/down the posts in chronological order.
