The Android FFS (I don't know if it's restricted to this, but it's all I'm using) is destroying multi-line messages. For example, if the message "hello\nworld" goes into MediaWiki for translation, what comes out again on export, without touching anything in between, is simply "hello".
Apologies, this bug report is totally bogus. What was actually exported was hello<real newline>world, which Android ought to interpret just the same as the original at compile time.
No problem. We know that the AnroidFFS has some deficiencies at the moment, so any help testing and fixing is welcome.
