See screenshot.

I would expect the IP address to be clickable, and lead to either that IP's contributions or user talk page.

Yes this is currently by design and may or may not be right.

I've added a design tag to get an opinion on what this behaviour might be.

Jared should this be clickable?
Comment 4 Jared Zimmerman (WMF) 2013-12-25 10:59:19 UTC
Where would it go? Contribs? That seems like the only logical place although that could show misleading or confusing information but be similar at least to desktop behavior.

Yeah, that's what I expected and mentioned in comment 0.

Why do you think it might be misleading or confusing?
Comment 6 Jared Zimmerman (WMF) 2013-12-25 20:43:00 UTC
Confusing because IP users don't messes necessarily represent one user, I always think it's a bit misleading to show Contribs associated with IPs but it's a system-wide issue not one that affects the site in general
Comment 7 Jon 2013-12-27 07:55:24 UTC
I personally think the IP is only useful for identifying patterns in watchlist activity which seems a bit advanced for what a mobile user might want to achieve. What would be better is to group them in the watchlist view to say they are related by IP. It means **** all to a non-wikipedian/non-techy (do the mother test).

I'm not sure copying desktops and linking to contributions or a user page is a good idea as it might give the impression it is some kind of username. Maybe linking to Special:Contributions and having a different message at the top of the page saying "Edits from anonymous users at this location" or similar might help alleviate this confusion (avoid word IP and make clear it is not necessarily a specific user)
Comment 8 Florian 2014-06-28 22:26:01 UTC
If i see the actual behavior right, there is a link to the non existing userpage of the ip adress, right? And: There is no mobile special page to show the user contributions, atm, so we can't link there, right? Only to know, what the actual stand is :)
Comment 9 Florian 2014-07-29 07:11:21 UTC
Setting as fixed, because there is a link to anonymous users since... (yeah, don't know when, sorry). Maryana opened a new bug to fix the linking:
