When you upload a file (same name) to a wiki which was previously deleted the importImages.php script indicates that the upload was successful. But the upload was not successful, only the page in the File: NS was created but the actual file was not uploaded (again).

When you upload the file manually (via Upload File) the user gets a warning that he or she is uploading a previously deleted file, with the "wpUploadIgnoreWarning" button he or she can overrule this blocker.

We use importImages.php to import pictures and files automatically to our wiki. The combination with Semantic Mediawiki makes this a very powerful tool. Would it not make sense to create a --ignorewarning argument for the importImages.php so it is possible to upload previously deleted files with importImages.php? When this is not possible the script should at least not report that the file upload was successful when it was not.

Regards,

Felipe.
