Description Kunal Mehta (Legoktm) 2013-11-15 03:24:07 UTC
Note, I'm using beta mode, but I'm not sure if this is restricted to beta.

Created a new account through mobile on en.m.wp.o, got a notification that said "Welcome to Wikipedia, [username], We're glad you're here."

I hit the left arrow button (<) to go back, except the page says I still have 1 unread notification.

Even if I click on the notification (it doesnt go anywhere), still marked as unread.

iPhone 4S, iOS7 latest, using Safari

I've noticed this as well, but attributed it to caching in my browser (FF25). Didn't notice it in Chrome or Opera, but my cache is far shallower in those browsers, since I use them less frequently.

I reported a bug against the mobile site. Are you seeing this in desktop mode as well? If so, that should be filed as a separate bug against Echo.

I was able to reproduce this on my test wiki in normal non-beta mode.

I seem to see this issue on desktop sometimes as well actually. We'll poke around.

I spent about 20 minutes playing around with this on http://en.m.wikipedia.beta.wmflabs.org/wiki/Lainz_Angels_of_Death and I've been unable to replicate.

Looks resolved to me too. :)
