Hi, I'm trying to upload Konkani Encyclopedia Volume 2 which is a CC-BY-SA 3.0 licensed file to Wikimedia Commons. However because of the file size restriction I'm unable to upload the file. Could you please help uploading. Source: http://library.unigoa.ac.in:8081/xmlui/handle/123456789/598 Thanks Nitika
Hello, Can you provide: - the Commons username to put as uploader - the initial description of the file (ie the content of the page at the first edit) Thank you.
Username: Nitika.t Description: Second volume of the Konkani Viswakosh which is released under free license Author: Goa University, multiple authors
And the file name can be "Konkani_Viswakosh_Vol3.pdf" Vol 1 and 3 are already uploaded. Vol 1: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Konkani_Viswakosh_Vol1.pdf Vol 3: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Konkani_Viswakosh_Vol3.pdf

Cannot access text of this book on Commons or Wikisource. The page does not download properly. I'm assuming this is due to heavy file size. For example: On Wikimedia Commons: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Konkani_Viswakosh_Vol2.pdf. Doesn't show the text of the page. On Wikisource: https://wikisource.org/w/index.php?title=Page:Konkani_Viswakosh_Vol2.pdf/390&action=edit&redlink=1. The page on right hand side is all black and doesn't download the page. Could you please look into this. Thanks Nitika
The error is: Error creating thumbnail: **** Warning: An error occurred while reading an XREF table. **** The file has been damaged. This may have been caused **** by a problem while converting or transfering the file. **** Ghostscript will attempt to recover the data. **** Error: Trailer is not found. I guess downloading the actual pdf will tell if its on our end or the file itself (not testing atm as on a cell phone so don't want download 600mb of pdf)

There is problem with the PDF itself that is uploaded at the website. The 368th page is not scanned properly, with some error in rendition. So, all the rest of the pages from thereon are ignored. Please check if you can rescan the book.
This is the newly scanned file. Available here: http://library.unigoa.ac.in:8081/xmlui/handle/123456789/618. Could you help replace this: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Konkani_Viswakosh_Vol2.pdf so that all pages show up?

I uploaded it (The max upload size for normal uploads got increased to 1GB [In theory, when chunked works]). Interesting note - my upload hung at the "queued" stage. I had to manually resend the publish API command using the filename from Special:UploadStash before it worked.
