Wikimedia's sponsored server, dickson.freenode.net, currently has only IPv4 support, but I don't see any reason why IPv6 should not be enabled for the server, given that the network's overall IPv6 support is pretty robust and the software support for it.

this is something that I need to set up. Please bug me if not done in the next 2 weeks. Lower priority than Datacenter RFP

Lower priority than Datacenter RFP Hhm, the routing still isn't working (or did the IPv6 address change from 2620:0:861:52:208:80:155:68 to something else and the DNS wasn't updated?)
Sorry, I forgot to update this ticket. The IPv6 is ready from WMF's point of view, we are waiting fro freenode to change the IP on the box.
Hhm, the address must've changed then, since 2620:0:861:52:208:80:155:68 is still unreachable by tracer(ou)t(e)
Oh right, THEY have to change the IP. My bad.

For the record, it seems to have been done. dickson.freenode.net has been IPv6-enabled for quite a while now. Thanks to Leslie (especially since she left the foundation shortly after this bug - and before Andre's comment, in fact) for getting this done!
