Description Nathan Larson 2013-11-16 08:29:57 UTC
InterwikiMap should have a server mode that allows users on a site such as WikiIndex or WikiApiary to add a tag or parser function or whatever SMW uses to a wiki description page, and thereby add an interwiki prefix, URL, etc. to the interwiki table.

InterwikiMap should also be able to provide and poll for incremental updates to the table rather than dealing with the entire table each time. Also, a different means of storing snapshots of the table needs to be developed that doesn't rely on storing them in pages; this is not scalable.

The purpose of all this is to implement https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Canonical_interwiki_prefixes .
