This is happening here (MW 1.23wmf4 (3cd6672)): https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/File:LvMQuote.png I uploaded the original file, which was a 641x125 PNG, on 31 October 2012. I uploaded a replacement file, which was a 626x89 PNG, on 19:24 21 November 2013. It was still showing the original file as the current version, so I uploaded the replacement file again at 19:25. Now it is still showing the original file as the current version, and also saying that its dimensions are 629x89, the same as the replacement file's. Also, the original file is still showing up as the image at https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:MisesQuote . Purging doesn't fix it. https://www.mediawiki.org/w/index.php?title=Extension:MisesQuote&action=purge https://www.mediawiki.org/w/index.php?title=File:LvMQuote.png&action=purge
Where are you accessing from (geographically)
Catlett, Virginia. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catlett,_Virginia
Screenshot: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/File:Bug_57369.png As you can see, there are three images; the 19:25 and 08:54 images look identical, and they look different from the 19:24 image, but the 19:25 and 19:24 images have identical metadata.
Hmm, this seems to be fine for me (trying through eqiad, esams and ulsfo). If you go to https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/mediawiki/4/4b/LvMQuote.png and do a hard refresh, does the right version show up? What about https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/mediawiki/4/4b/LvMQuote.png?dummyqueryparam
Yup, that fixes it. So, RESOLVED INVALID, or should I not have to do a hard refresh in order for that to display as it should?
(In reply to comment #5) > Yup, that fixes it. So, RESOLVED INVALID, or should I not have to do a hard > refresh in order for that to display as it should? You shouldn't, but there's not much we can do about an intermittent cache purge failure. Closing worksforme. If it happens again let me know
