It would be great if the preview could also evaluate the first field ("Page containing list of pages to leave a message on:") and display the number of recipients the message will be sent to - just like it is already shown after the Send button is hit. (And while we are at it, including the subject line in the preview could be useful, too.)

A big +1 for this idea. Lego: could MassMessage quickly (i.e., on preview) give a more nuanced view of a potential input list. That is, instead of simply saying "43 targets", could it say "41 targets, 2 bad targets"? That would be even better.
I have a good idea on how to implement this, will upload something tomorrow.
