Description JackPotte 2013-11-23 18:20:04 UTC
As you can see into https://fr.wikiversity.org/wiki/Mod%C3%A8le:JackPotte/test, the behavior of the BASEPAGENAME and SUBPAGENAME magic words for this particular wiki in this particular namespace is different than all the others (eg: https://fr.wikiversity.org/wiki/Utilisateur:JackPotte/test).
Line 7 to 8 it should display "JackPotte", and 9 to 10 "test".

These variables works only, if the namespace supports subpages (according to $wgNamespacesWithSubpages)

As default $wgNamespacesWithSubpages contains the template namespace as subpage namespace, but frwikiversity overrides it with

'+frwikiversity' => array( 0 => 1, 6 => 0, 8 => 0, 10 => 0, 112 => 1, 113 => 1 ),

which removed that flag for templates (the 10 => 0 is the problem).

I suppose subpages were disabled in template space for things like [[v:fr:Modèle:0/4]]. I can't find any relevant bugs.

As you can see by browsing through [[v:fr:Spécial:Index/Modèle:]], it's clear that subpages are actually being used for documentation etc, so all the more reason to re-enable subpages in template space.

If you would like this to happen, could you please start a community discussion and see if there are any disagreements?

I can't seem to find this discussion: que s'est-il passé?
Comment 6 JackPotte 2014-02-05 20:37:58 UTC
Nobody has answered on fr.v, so let's uniform this behavior with the other wikis.

Again, sorry it took so long. Hopefully your template programming is now a little easier!
