I think this is a parsoid bug. Here's a description from a Flow user's perspective:

If I type/paste this text into a Flow post:

 See the link for details (https://www.google.com/link)

Then the closing-bracket is included in the a href (it links to [https://www.google.com/link)]

The WMF core features team tracks this bug on Mingle card https://mingle.corp.wikimedia.org/projects/flow/cards/522, but people from the community are welcome to contribute here and in Gerrit.

With latest Parsoid on ee-flow, the bug is gone, so I'm guessing this is a dupe of bug 58054.
