Description Dan Garry 2013-11-25 11:06:51 UTC
When using SecurePoll today I very nearly got my votes completely the wrong way around, supporting every I wanted to oppose and vice verse. The interface should be modified to make it clearer which column is which.

One way to do this is to put the standard voting template images (i.e. [[File:Symbol support vote.svg]]) in the header for each column.

These icons would have to be optional or linked in some way to the type of polling being done, because the SecurePoll interface is used in different ways depending on the vote/process it's used for. In the past few years, it has been used for Support/Oppose/Neutral radio button voting, for Schulze method voting (ranking of candidates, requiring insertion of numbers) and for the Personal Image Filter referendum that used text questions with a sliding scale radio button. It is conceivable that other voting or polling systems may be used in the future.
