The bug title says it all: the viewer has a black background, when viewing an image which has only black and transparent parts, the screen is pitch black. You can try it here: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Copyright#mediaviewer/File:Copyleft.svg/5

If the bug summary says it all, copying and pasting it into the bug description should be quick and easy. :-)

Thanks for the link. I had to enable the beta preference on Commons in order for the link to work. I'll upload a screenshot momentarily.
