After I create a new Service Group via https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:NovaServiceGroup&action=addservicegroup&projectname=tools , the confirmation page just says that the group has been created and gives me a link to the page for ALL service groups. Perhaps there's a way to link specifically to the now-created group?

Yeah, that page should link to a wiki page where the user can document the tool (or at least write a one-sentence description).

I believe that Brandon is in the process of designing a standard documentation scheme for tools. Brandon, once you know where said wiki page should be, I'll change wikitech to link to it from the service group.
