the தமிழ் is the Tamil label for the Tamil language. However it does not find it.. What is going wrong where ?

What are exact steps to reproduce for "it does not find it"?

change to ta for the user language, I searched for தமிழ் and it did not come up. It is however the label for the Tamil language in Tamil.. It should have come up.

It does work if you add a space behind it and then remove it again. This is an issue with pasting into the entity search box.

That behaviour is a bit odd. It is caused by wrong css style assignment which occurs on wikidata.org but not, for example, on my local instance. The following change sets should fix that along with adding some list offset:
