When I am my tool "wikidata-terminator", I can run this just fine from shell:

/usr/bin/mysql --defaults-file=/data/project/wikidata-terminator/replica.my.cnf -h wikidatawiki.labsdb wikidatawiki_p


But when a shell script from jsub runs this, all I get is:

ERROR 2003 (HY000): Can't connect to MySQL server on 'wikidatawiki.labsdb' (110)


The very same script worked fine up until a few days ago. This completely breaks my tool. Please advise/fix.

There is currently a known issue with DNS inside labs that is at the top of my priority list and is the cause of this.

There was a workaround put in place that should prevent this from happening no matter what happens to DNS.
