This came in through OTRS, and after a follow-up request, a screenshot was delivered that points out the alleged issue.

This needs verification.

Names.php currently has:
	'kn' => 'ಕನ್ನಡ',	# Kannada

ULS's LangDb has:
  kn: [Knda, [AS], ಕನ್ನಡ]

In both cases, this appears to be correct.

I've added a note in OTRS asking the agent to refer the reporter here, so we can get more information, like browser and operating system versions.

I can confirm the observation. The Unicode characters are correct when no web fonts are used. In this case, the Autonym font is applied. It appears to be incorrect rendering in the Autonym font. I'll create an upstream report.
