Description Axel Boldt 2013-12-16 21:37:35 UTC
Occasionally, cut and paste of text that includes a reference will fail in a weird way. I was able to isolate one reproducible case:

1. The article contains text S, followed by a reference for S, some more text T, followed by a reference for T.

2. We cut (Ctrl-X) part or all of text T, including its reference.

3. We paste (Ctrl-V) somewhere in the middle of text S (*not* at the beginning of S)

Result: the article view is scrolled to the top, the pasted text is in wrong order, all of a sudden we have three references.

See https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/VisualEditor:TestAxelBoldt#Regression_15:_Cut.2FPaste_of_references for a sandbox where you can try it out.
