Created attachment 14155 [details] Off-kilter search on Talk:Flow Visit a Flow-enabled page on mediawiki.org (Talk:Flow or Talk:Sandbox). Click into the site search box and begin typing. You'll see suggested search results appearing in the middle of the screen rather than right below the search box (see screenshot). This doesn't seem to happen on any non-Flow enabled mw.org page.
The WMF core features team tracks this bug on Mingle card https://mingle.corp.wikimedia.org/projects/flow/cards/650, but people from the community are welcome to contribute here and in Gerrit.
Can you check if this is still happening? I just tried mw.org/wiki/Talk:Flow, and it works fine for me, in both Firefox (26.0) and Chrome (31.0.1650.63) on OSX.
Confirmed, still happening. As soon as I type "e", the autocomplete box appears in the middle of the screen, per screenshot. (Firefox 26, Linux)
Ah, It's related to page-overflow. On [[mw:Talk:Flow]] and [[mw:Talk:Sandbox]] there are portions of <pre> text that overflow the screen, creating horizontal scrollbars. The autocomplete box appears in a slightly different position on both of those pages, due to the difference in overflow. On [[mw:Talk:Flow QA]], the autocomplete box appears exactly where it should. On non-Flow pages, eg [[mw:User:Quiddity (WMF)/Sandbox]], if there's text-overflow, the autocomplete box appears exactly where it should. (So it's probably not an upstream bug?). (Also, I replicated the issue in Chromium and Opera, so it's not a firefox/browser bug)
I'm not seeing this happen anymore; guess it's been fixed.
Still broken if I force content outside of the .flow-container area, eg http://ee-flow.wmflabs.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Quiddity&workflow=050d69ad0c17f00fc8b1fa163e68c4ac (expand that hidden topic)
