This issue was converted from https://jira.toolserver.org/browse/REPORTS-6. Summary: TimestampField doesn't actually format anything Issue type: Improvement - An improvement or enhancement to an existing feature or task. Priority: Major Status: Resolved Assignee: River Tarnell <river.tarnell@wikimedia.de> ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: River Tarnell <river.tarnell@wikimedia.de> Date: Tue, 16 Sep 2008 21:07:29 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The TimestampField in `python/fields.py` doesn't actually format a date, it just returns its argument (a MediaWiki date) unmodified. It should format the timestamp into a human-readable date in the user's locale.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: River Tarnell <river.tarnell@wikimedia.de> Date: Fri, 19 Sep 2008 02:56:12 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fixed by adding the 'format_datetime' method to the language classes; this required a lang object to be passed to the format() function of each Field type.
