Description sju-w 2013-12-30 00:01:14 UTC
When an item should be split to two items or in case of interwiki conflict, it is needed to move or remove not only individual interwiki link but a group/block of interwiki links. This process is needlessly complicated in Wikidata. (Click the first window bookmark - click edit - click the name field - copy the name - click remove - click the second window bookmark - click add - fill and select the language - click the name - insert the name - click save - click the first window bookmark etc. etc.)

We need a simple tool to select a group of links and to move them together to another item (or to remove them together).

Thanks for sharing your idea.
The bug title does not describe a bug but a solution or feature / new functionality. Hence setting priority to enhancement.

The fact that Wikidata doesn't enable to do effectively regular acts of item and interwikis administration and the fact that such steps are so excessively complicated is really a bug. The old system of interwikis enabled this workflow simply and easy. The substantial worsening is a bug.

Such thinks are supposed to be thought-out, solved and thoroughly tested before activation of phase I of Wikidata.

There is a gadget on Wikidata to do this.
I will add it to the list of things to consider for the UI redesign but I don't think we will incorporate it in the main UI.
