Description Jon 2013-12-31 18:31:15 UTC
On stable when you click preview in the editor, clicking back now asks if you want to abandon your edit..
If you click okay your edit gets abandoned.
Thus there is no way to switch between these views.

This has been deployed to MediaWiki.org. Eek.

Change 104755 had a related patch set uploaded by Jdlrobson:
Allow switching from edit preview to editor

Hasn't it been like that forever? By design I think, or at least by common agreement. There is a "Keep editing" link at the bottom.
Comment 4 Jon 2014-01-02 17:00:13 UTC
oh it has?
I forgot about keep editing button so I guess this isn't bad as first thought.
Comment 5 Jon 2014-01-02 17:39:34 UTC
Looks like you are right. I thought this was related to the OverlayManager change. Guess that's not a problem (and if it is the fact we are updating overlays makes this go away)

It would be good to have acceptance tests for the new editor overlay to ensure I and others do not get confused again.
