This issue was converted from https://jira.toolserver.org/browse/DBQ-119. Summary: I would like to have a tool that lists all articles of a category, sorted by the number of links in a wikipedia Issue type: Task - A task that needs to be done. Priority: Major Status: Done Assignee: (none) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: zulu 55 <zulu55@mail.com> Date: Sun, 09 Jan 2011 20:51:10 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Precisely I would like to get a list of articles in http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kategorie:Zweiter_Weltkrieg_%28Film%29 sorted by the number of links in the german wikipedia these articles have. But I think a general toll would be cool, as it is some kind of indicator of important articles in a category. I have no knowledge of programing.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: MZMcBride <mzmcbride@gmail.com> Date: Sun, 09 Jan 2011 21:31:07 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I sort of started working on a tool like this: http://toolserver.org/~mzmcbride/cgi-bin/yanker.py?db=dewiki_p&list=pages&category=Zweiter+Weltkrieg+%28Film%29&page=&limit=5000&sort=asc&wrapper=%241 The main interface is available at http://toolserver.org/~mzmcbride/cgi-bin/yanker.py I think Magnus might have a tool to do something similar to what you want, too.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: zulu 55 <zulu55@mail.com> Date: Tue, 11 Jan 2011 06:52:10 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi,thankks. I checked that, but both do not sort the articles by the number of links who link there in a wikipedia. That is what I am looking for.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: Hoo man <hoo@online.de> Date: Tue, 11 Jan 2011 21:18:16 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I've just built the tool you requested, it can be found here: http://toolserver.org/~hoo/catPageLinks.php (If you want the data in a raw format, just add &type=raw and &separator=foo if you want a custom separator) Btw, the source can be found at the 'Source' option at the left.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: zulu 55 <zulu55@mail.com> Date: Mon, 17 Jan 2011 08:59:02 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thank you for that amazing tool.
