If I click "Reply" on SG's post, it autofills the mention with Maryana's username. It should use SG's username.

The WMF core features team tracks this bug on Mingle card https://wikimedia.mingle.thoughtworks.com/projects/flow/cards/734, but people from the community are welcome to contribute here and in Gerrit.

Confirmed; this is rather problematic as it breaks Flow's limited indication of threading.
