The search time on the mobile app is considerably long as compared to the mobile website.

unfortunately this report is not very useful because it does not describe the problem well. If you have time and can still reproduce the problem, please read https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/How_to_report_a_bug and add a more useful description to this report by providing way more information so somebody could create your exact setup and follow your steps in order to reproduce.

Hi Andre, this report pertains to the new, upcoming Wikipedia app. I was beta-testing it for YuviPanda and he asked me to file the report for any possible bugs. 

To be more clear, the search time on the app seems about 3 to 4 seconds more than that on the mobile website. 

Please let me know how I could be more clear on this.

FWIW, we do request more search results than mobile web, so this is technically true.
