Description Xelgen 2014-02-11 11:09:27 UTC
Please set up readable by public, "subscribe to post" mailing list for Wikimedia Armenia Chapter (https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Armenia).

Mailing list is intended for all members of Chapters, for general discussions.

Also, we were using Mailman service on local hosting till today. Is there's an easy way to migrate communication from old list, to new list, so all communication be in one place?

Please use my E-mail here as list admin, and also add [[User:Vacio]] "vgratian (at) riseup (dot) net" as second admin of list.

So I'm happy to create the list, suggested list name Wikimedia-AM to conform to the existing list naming standard. With regards to migrating communication from the old list, is the list a Mailman list? I don't imagine we'll be able to move archives etc to the new list, but we might be able set it up so emails sent to the old list are instead sent to the new list.

Yes exising mailing list is mailman. If we can't migrate archives in any easy way, that's OK.
For forwarding mails from old address to new one, I though of creating simple mail-forwarder with old list name, forwarding mails to new address. If we allow forwarder to send mails to new list, I believe it should work.
Correct me if I'm wrong, and we'll need to take additional steps.

Thanks,
