Description Chad H. 2014-02-11 16:25:40 UTC
It was an impulsive idea to make this list. Nobody uses it and I get daily reminders about mod requests I have no intention of handling.

Just to clarify, you're talking about https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/hiphop?
Comment 2 Chad H. 2014-02-11 18:31:35 UTC
Yeah that :)

Thanks, CCing Daniel.

Killing the list a couple days after the project has been revived at Wikimedia sounds to be like another impulsive idea :-]

Max Semenik posted a question yesterday and got an answer from a Facebook engineer a couple hours after.

I would appreciate a place where we can exchange informations beside Wikitech (too spammy nowadays) or Bugzilla where we do not even have a component for hiphop (but use a keyword, go figure why).

My understanding was that Hiphop related issues are simply pretty cross-component, hence a keyword is more suitable. See bug 40926 comment 5.

For the record, I've been trying out hhvm at translatewiki.net and I was not aware thath such list exists.

It would be pretty poor timing to kill off this list now, per Antoine's comment. It looks like a really good place to collaborate with Facebook on Wikimedia-specific HipHop issues, as well as serve as a team communication channel as we push on things this month.
