Steps to reproduce:

1.Open a page with VE
2.Make some changes
3.Switch to edit source mode
4.Save the page from Edit source mode

Observed Result:
Uncaught SyntaxError: Invalid flags supplied to RegExp constructor 'index' appears in the console

Test Environment: production
Browser: Chrome Version 26.0.1410.65 
OS: MAC OS X 10. 8. 5

Bug caused by the Citation expander gadget.
