Steps to reproduce:

1.Go to Edit Source mode
2.Add a text or anything else in a newline
3.Save the page
4.Open the page with VE

Observed Result:
The newly added text gets merged with the previous line adding a return character between the lines.

Browser: Chrome Version 26.0.1410.65 
OS: MAC OS X 10. 8. 5
